White House denies Japan press report on Summers
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The White House has denied a report in the Japanese press that President Barack Obama is set to name Larry Summers as the next Fed chief. In a post on Twitter, White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage said the latest rumors in the Japanese press “aren’t true” and added that the president has not yet made a decision on Fed chair.
