Russian plane overshoots runway, killing four
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — A Russian passenger plane overshot a Moscow airport runway on Saturday, killing four people on board with four others suffering from brain injuries, according to media reports. The Red Wings Airlines aircraft, traveling from the Czech Republic, was carrying eight crew members and no passengers, the Sky News reported, adding there were high winds and a snowstorm at the time of the crash even though the cause of the accident is still not clear. Before Saturday’s crash, there had been no fatal accidents reported for the Tu-204 planes, which entered commercial service in 1995, the Sky News reported.
