Labor Secretary Hilda Solis resigns
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is resigning, she said Wednesday. In a statement, President Barack Obama said Solis has been “a critical member of my economic team” and a “tireless champion for working families.” Solis, who has headed the Labor Department for nearly four years, said she told Obama her decision on Wednesday morning. “Because President Obama took very bold action, millions of Americans are back to work. There is still much to do, but we are well on the road to recovery,” she said in a statement.
