EUR/USD changed hands near the recent top in the high 1.33 area
On Friday, the risk rally shifted into a lower gear and this capped the topside in EUR/USD, too. EUR/USD fell prey to some moderate end of week profit taking, but the global picture remained unchanged. Intraday, EUR/USD changed hands near the recent top in the high 1.33 area. Asian equities gained after (marginally) better than expected Chinese Q4 GDP data. However, European markets were reluctant to join the Asian risk rally. Most European equities already reached the intraday highs soon
