Chinese man detonates bomb in Beijing airtport
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — The Beijing airport was disrupted on Saturday after a Chinese man in a wheelchair detonated a bomb, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal citing state media. The explosion injured the man but no other casualties were reported in Terminal 3 arrivals at the airport. The state-run news agency Xinhua reported the 34-year-old man was upset over not being allowed to hand out flyers about specific complaints. Online conversation about the incident pointed to a complaint by the man, Ji Zhongxing, filed in 2005 where he claims he was partially paralyzed after being beaten by Chinese police in Guangdong province’s manufacturing hub of Dongguan, said a report on Reuters. The independence of the letter was not verified.
