BI 'bold' intervention plunges forex reserves to six-month low

Indonesia saw its foreign exchange (forex) reserves nosedive to US8.8 billion in January, the lowest in six months, as the central bank took “bold” measures to safeguard the rupiah. Forex reserves had stood at 2.8 billion in December last year.
